Located in the former Lom Ling Chinese Restaurant space in downtown Lombard, a new façade was created, and the former dining room was completely demoed and expanded to create the new Kyo Ramen & Poke Bowl. The former restaurant’s authentic Chinese roof was removed for the installation of a new sign band, awnings, and a walk-up service window. The dining room’s former suspended ceiling was removed to reveal the space’s original 1940’s tin ceiling; a multi-use bar was created along the length of the dining room’s east wall for preparing and serving sushi, poke, liquor, and bubble tea; a new banquette anchors the west wall of the dining room; and the washrooms were renovated.
